Love of Learning​

I believe that to succeed as a teacher you must be passionate about the subject you teach, which is English for me. As an AI Prompt Engineer, teaching classes, tutoring, and engaging in short story- and screenwriting, I am constantly surrounded by words all day long. I find words and how they’re used fascinating and love to share this fascination and bring the English language with all its beautiful traits and facets closer to my students.

 

As a result, I taught many subjects in Canada and China, such as Classic Literature and Poetry, Creative- and Screenwriting, a multitude of Non-Fiction formats, and English as a second language. I pride myself in constantly researching new, high-quality material and creating class content based on found material in combination with creativity, a true-to-life approach, and my teaching experience.

Love of Learners​​​

I believe every student is unique in their special way and needs personalized, individual support. Because of this, I will always go to great lengths to adapt to each student's needs, skills, and personality type. I incorporate various high-quality materials and different teaching styles to reflect the daily teaching regime.

Parents of students and adult clients appreciate my patience and kindness and the challenging yet true-to-life class content. Also, my detailed and constructive homework feedback has always been well-received. This helps each student to improve and feel inspired. Students love my sense of humor and my creativity. Enabling students to identify with contemporary and inspiring class material results in them being animated during class. A kid at heart myself, I always allow my students' personalities to shine and create to run free and encourage them to express their thoughts, opinions, and ideas.

 

In my classes, I strongly encourage divergent thinking and questioning content. But while giving students the liberty to assert themselves, I always ensure they stay on track to learn the content and turn learned theory into practice. I believe that teaching content should benefit students in school and in their later lives.

 

Through attentive observation during class and by grading homework, I can invariably form a comprehensive picture of each learner. I find it important to support students with their skills and self-confidence so they can learn to believe in their abilities who they are and who they'll inevitably become.

Bringing the first two loves together

I wholeheartedly love teaching and care for all my students from the present, past, and future. Every little success and advancement from them brings me much excitement and joy. This motivates me to develop and build myself constantly to support all my students in their unique ways. I can’t imagine life without my students and teaching and I hope to bring the above two loves together for a long time.​​
